Lake Isabella, CA – The Sequoia National Forest Kern River Ranger District opened the Lake Isabella Visitor Center located at 7158 Lake Isabella Bl, Lake Isabella, beginning Monday, April 22. Office hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and closed for lunch 12:00 noon to 12:30 pm.
The Kernville Ranger Station Visitor Center in Kernville will begin its summer operating schedule May 19. The center will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Blackrock Ranger Station Visitor Center will tentatively open Sunday, May 19, pending snow conditions. Office hours will be Thursday through Monday (closed Tuesday and Wednesday), 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The Sequoia National Forest Visitor Centers provide an excellent source of information about the local area and recreation opportunities. Information and services offered at these offices include informational handouts, campfire permits, wood-cutting permits, rafting permits, and Southern Sierra and interagency passes. The visitor information specialists at these locations look forward to helping you enjoy recreating on your National Forest land!
