Sequoia National Forest District Offices will close to in-person services aligned with the Regional Order, temporarily closing all National Forest in California for public safety. The order will take effect at 11:59 pm today, Tuesday, August 31, and continue through Friday, September 17. Forest offices will resume limited in-person services once the Regional closure expires. 

Although all Sequoia National Forest offices are temporarily closed, virtual services are available Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm by calling your local office or emailing

To better provide public and firefighter safety due to the ongoing California wildfire crisis, USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region announced a temporary closure of all National Forests in California. The health and safety of firefighters, mountain communities, Forest visitors, and employees is our highest priority.
